Recently, we removed a huge amount of overgrowth around this area. This uncovered the forsythia that we didn't know was there-- and consequently have let grow wild for 11 years. It's too early to know if there is any hope for it to look decent this year, or this decade.

Four hours in the car translated into many more inches on the front of the sweater. Here you see not only the growing sweater, but the Forsythia in dire need of pruning.

...the Forsythia, not the sweater.
