Good things

This afternoon was one of the best with the Curly Girl in a long time. It is finally spring-like weather, and she asked if she could play outside when she got home from school. She gave me a little trouble about changing out of her school clothes, but not much, and played outside for hours. She kept coming in to tell me about her hopscotch board, or tell me that "April showers bring May flowers, but Mayflowers bring Pilgrims," so the pleasantness wasn't entirely due to her being away from me for the afternoon. She was just in a good mood all day. No time-outs, no spitting or hitting; it was great. Some resistance to brushing her teeth and she's still up an hour after bedtime, but it was nice nonetheless.
