Ruth

Why are there some words that are seldom, if ever, used in their positive form? Ruthless is a common word, but you never hear of anyone having a lot of ruth. You hear of people being feckless, but never feckful. Or, "After that massage, I feel so combobulated. Quite gruntled, in fact." I would like to hear someone say, "My child is so corrigible he is only involved in licit activities now."

I guess people are just used to using words in certain ways, and it probably won't change. It's too evitable.
