Curly Girl's teacher does a smiley chart with her to monitor her behavior. A smiley means good behavior for that period of time; a frowny face means bad behavior. I have noticed that when she is good after school, there is usually a chart covered with frownies in her backpack-- and vice versa. It's like she doesn't have enough self-control to be good in both places.
Today, her brother got out of the car when the carpool dropped them off after school saying, "She's the devil!" She followed behind telling him to shut up and trying to hit him. She yelled, spit, and kicked on her way to her room, and screamed the whole time her siblings were trying to tell me about the ride home. During the ride, she unbuckled her sister's seat belt 5 times and hit her sister's hand when she tried to hold her buckle to prevent it, spit numerous times, and screamed for the whole time.
Checking her backpack, I find "Pretty good day today!" Grrrr.
